Current GOAL: You found me!! Now you can help me out. I am a contestant in the Great TB Race of 2009. In this race, I can earn points for various tasks that I complete. The more points I have, the closer I am to winning. The simplest way is to help move me to another cache, but I have more tasks that are worth more points. My mission is to win. Read on to find out how you can help.
About this item:
Is there a better way to represent Belgium then with its beer? Belgium counts about 115 breweries producing more than 1000 beers in total.
I'm a typical example of a Wheat beer, originated in the Flemish part of Belgium in the Middle Ages. Traditionally, I'm made with a mixture of wheat and barley.
I'm a tribute to this type of beer and the Belgian Beer mastery in general.
So that I have the best chance of winning the race, please try to get me back out into the world quickly and place me in caches that are most active and easy caches. The more I travel and meet people, the better my chances. Read on to learn more about how YOU can help.
As a contestant in the Great TB Race, I am eager to help my owner win. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, but the only way I'll get a prize is if I earn enough points before January 5th, 2010. Here is how you can help me get points:
How to Earn Points |
Point Values |
Every cache visited (once per cache) |
1 |
| Every 50 miles traveled |
1 |
Crossing state lines or country borders (in a straight line from A to B) |
2 |
Posting a picture (one per cacher) |
2 |
Exchange with a TB/coin (must name the other item in log) |
2 |
Attending an event (only once per event) |
3 |
| Earning an FTF |
4 |
| Attending an official checkpoint cache |
5 |
Important: please do not dip me into multiple caches. I will not gain extra points for the those caches you dip me into and it affects some of the numbers used to calculate the standings.
If you would like more information about the race, where to find official checkpoint caches, or to keep up with how the race is going, then you can go to The Great TB Race of 2009. There, you can get the rules of the race and find links to race news, stats, and more. Plus, you'll have an easy way to watch how your effort helps me win.
Now, time to continue the race.....
