How do Trackable Items Work?

Recently Spotted:  In the hands of VWDave

Current GOAL:  You found me!! Now you can help me out. I am a contestant in the Great TB Race of 2009. In this race, I can earn points for various tasks that I complete. The more points I have, the closer I am to winning. The simplest way is to help move me to another cache, but I have more tasks that are worth more points. However, I only gain points for the final cache you place me in, so please do not try to help me out by dipping me into multiple caches. Read on to find out how you can help me win the race. This bug is a special one...I picked it up as geoswag from the Helliwell cache during a trip to visit my Dad in Comox BC. More importantly, it combines my two hobbies (sewing and geocaching) and happens to be Canadian like me!

About this item: Canada Moose

So that I have the best chance of winning the race, please try to get me back out into the world quickly. The more I travel and meet people, the better my chances. Read on to learn more about how YOU can help.

As a contestant in the Great TB Race, I am eager to help my owner win. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, but the only way I'll get a prize is if I earn enough points before January 5th, 2010. Here is how you can help me get points:

If you would like more information about the race, where to find official checkpoint caches, or to keep up with how the race is going, then you can go to Trip's Geoadventures - The Great TB Race of 2009. There, you can get the rules of the race and find links to race news, stats, and more. Plus, you'll have an easy way to watch how your effort helps me win.

Now, time to continue the race.....

There have been some "technical" difficulties with this cache and this bug has sat long enough. This new location is adjacent to a major north/south highway and should offer the opportunity to collect some miles. Will post a picture if I can work the "help" menu. A thousand pardons for the delay. TFTB. PF4

I traded ROLLIN 1 TB for this one. Will get you some points soon, pic a couple of caches then back to Tn to try to get it to a different area.

Grab It (Not from a Cache) 9/12/2009 The Cache Kid grabbed Canada Moose in the Great TB Race of 2009 from Windy Sunsetspecial North Carolina   [visit log]
Grabbed this TB from Pathfinders4. Needed a FTF prize for a new hide and thought a moose would do just the trick. Reminds me of a favorite book, "Morris the Moose and the First Day of School" or something like that!! Good luck Morris. TKC

Always willing to help a moose in distress. Saw this bug "languishing" by the sea-shore for what, minutes? No matter. Bugs need to travel and so he joined us on our road trip home to Fayetteville. You'll have to do the math for county lines crossed. I may post a picture, if I can get a round to it. Will try and get him back in the game this weekend. Great bug. Good luck. PF4

Just wanted to let you know that the Canadian Moose is still alive and kicking. Our plans changed at the last minute and I wasn't able to get to the Outer Banks. There is a chance that my BF will be heading to Oklahoma next week on business. If so that would be great for the Moose. If not, we will be heading back to the Outer Banks the following weekend. Sorry about the delay.

Part of Team Twine and I found it in The Battle of South Mills. We will drop it off in Kill Devil Hills, NC next weekend.
