If you would like more information about the race, where to find official checkpoint caches, or to keep up with how the race is going, then you can go to Trip's Geoadventures - The Great TB Race of 2009. There, you can get the rules of the race and find links to race news, stats, and more. Plus, you'll have an easy way to watch how your effort helps me win..
Please do not dip me into multiple caches. I will not gain extra points for the caches you dip me into and it affects some of the numbers used to calculate the standings.
Now, time to continue the race.....

Picked up Dinosgang running in the Great TB Race 2009 at the Old Railbed Cache near the mouth of the Deschutes River in Oregon. State lines crossed (from Alaska) 2 (AL to WA, WA to OR) Miles traveled: I don't know, but that's pretty far! Exchanged with Angie TB 2 pts. Photo 2 pts. Is there an official checkpoint geocache near here?[This entry was edited by HuskyHomeTeam on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 9:01:37 AM.] |

| Picked up travel bug in Vancouver, WA. Placed in geocache on island in Alaska called Shemya (Eareckson Air Station). I work here and there is only on geocache on the island. We are a small speck near the end of the Aleutian islands just before Attu, which is the last US island in the chain. Happy travels. |

| I was visiting family in Etna, CA and hoped to have fun teaching my 6 year old nephew about Geocaching. After some shopping in Yreka we headed out and found YreakTB. Took awhile to find though with a 6 year old running around calling directions from the ever moving GPS. There were a lot of possibilities in that general area. Great location and wonderful job of camouflage. I was excited to find the Travel Bug and it was not until I returned home and began reading about this one's origin that we all really became excited. It travelled across 2 state lines and a total of 332 miles. Glad to help in this process. I will be leaving it in a cache here in Vancouver the next couple of days. I look forward to tracking it the rest of the year. Good Luck with the game. |
