This coin is being released in memory of Tod from Team Rod & Tod w/KAboom, Tod was killed in a motorcycle accident on Aug 12, 2008 Please keep this coin moving to help spread the awareness of bikes on the road!! If you have a spare coin and you'd like to help spread awareness of bikes, it would be much appreciated!
Helmets save lives, all bike riders (motorized or pedal power) should wear a properly fitted helmet which is approved for their use! Helmets may look "funny" or not be as "cool" as you'd like, but being dead or severely injured certainly isn't cool either! Tod wore a novelty helmet which was NOT DOT approved, he hit his head on the pavement which likely caused his death. Sure, the truck driver was at fault for forcing Tod to react, but Tod's odds were against him! Better your odds by wearing a helmet!! Keep your bike properly maintained to assure the safest possible ride as well. Worn tires or brakes slow stopping time or could cause you to lose control! Don't gamble on your equipment, be safe! Check your bike often and have it maintained as needed! A few $$$ isn't worth your life!
