The Pathfinders are inserted in the association of the same but with capital letters (DESBRAVADORES), being one of the four age groups, Rebentos (3 to 6 years), Tições (6 to 12 years), Pathfinders (12 to 16 years), Companions (16 to 20) and Seniors (21 to 30). The name DESBRAVADORES was associated with the general name of the association because it was the first age group to be created worldwide. The DESBRAVADORES Association is part of the Adventist Youth Department (JA).

DESTROYERS can be considered a scout association but Christian principles focused on the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pathfinders are aimed at: "The message of the advent to the whole world in this generation." and as a motto the biblical principle: "The love of Christ constrains us." 2 Corinthians 5:14.
During the year different activities are carried out, such as camps at national and regional level, as well as at local level, meetings and various activities, always keeping in mind our GOD, His Nature, and the next.

Os Desbravadores encontra-se inserido na associação do mesmo mas com letras maiúsculas (DESBRAVADORES), sendo um dos quatro grupos etários existentes, Rebentos (3 aos 6 anos), Tições (6 aos 12 anos), Desbravadores (12 aos 16 anos), Companheiros (16 aos 20) e Seniores (21 aos 30). O nome de DESBRAVADORES foi associado ao nome geral da associação por ter sido o primeiro grupo etário a ser criado a nível mundial. A Associação dos DESBRAVADORES encontra-se inserida no Departamento da Juventude Adventista (JA).

Os DESBRAVADORES podem ser considerados uma associação de carácter escutista, mas de princípios cristãos focalizados na Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia. Os Desbravadores têm como alvo: "A mensagem do advento a todo o mundo nesta geração." e como lema o principio biblico: "O Amor de Cristo nos constrange." 2 Corintios 5:14. 
Durante o ano são feitas diferentes actividades, tais como acampamentos, tanto a nível nacional, como a nível regional, como mesmo a nível local, reuniões e actividades diversas, tendo sempre em mente o nosso DEUS, a Sua Natureza, e o próximo.
