This trackable wants to visit caches placed in touristic/historical spots all over the world, with the aim to collect the best experiences for a man that wanted to become a touristic guide.
Back in 2016 I went for a trip to Portugal.
Once in Lisbon, I was walking around with my boyfriend when this old african man pops in, trying to sell his bracelets and lighters. At first we didn't want to buy them, then when he realized we were italians, he started to speak italian to us.
He told us about how he moved from Africa to France and then Germany, in which he got a degree in Physics, then moved to Italy searching for a job (useless to say, he speak fluent italian, german, french, english, portuguese). Since he found none, even if over-qualified, he started to work as an assistant for a rock band, travelling all around the country and getting a decent amount of money. He eventually met his wife, portugese, with whom he had two daughters. He lost his job, then they decide to move to Portugal in searching for better opportunities. His wife found a job, their daughters are going to school, but he is struggling a lot to find one. Therefore, the decision to start selling bracelets and lighters to tourists in the city. He was at the moment studying to become a touristic guide in Lisbon, the exam was soon to be.
This trackable is blessed, with the hope he has became a city guide, so that he can afford a better life for his daughters.
I wanted to share this man's story, because everyone needs to know that there's always a way :) .
