It is not a lovely sunny day today in Finland. Only yesterday, at winter solstice, has the day stopped getting any shorter. Sometimes we don't see the Sun for two or three weeks at this time of the year. Instead, we come together for any reason or often for no reason at all. That keeps us going through the darkest part of the year. Likewise, the community, great hobbies and other rewarding activities keep the engine running in general. You have chosen a good way to recover from your problems, for in spite of the many lonely trips to caches, geocaching is actually a very social activity or even a way of life. You would have been most welcome at my event today and maybe we would have gone to a cache or two afterwards. So, no matter whether the day sunny or not so, keep smiling and enjoy caching and the community! I wish you a most happy Christmas, a great new (caching) year and strong signals to guide you!
