Phelps Monument at Chattanooga Danmar brought Hezekiah II for a photo, and wrote this: Missionary Ridge at the Phelps Monument, overlooking Chattanooga, Tennessee. He (Col. Edward H. Phelps) was mortally wounded while his brigade of union troops were taking the ridge. He was one of our ancestors that was in the Civil War.
