All the tools I need Here's the tools I used for making the chainmail. An eye-bolt to coil the wire around, and a few pliers to open or close the rings. The wire cutter is used to clip the rings off.

A simple swatch This small patch of chainmail is comprised of 585 steel rings (544 galvanized steel, 41 stainless steel). A chainmail shirt can easily use more than 100,000 rings.
