This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Key of the Desolate Gates is a Geocaching Logo Travel Tag Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

To Travel Cache to Cache in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana unleashing it's special power and/or abilities. Please don't go beyond those boundaries.  Please send me on my way, do not keep!!

    You have uncovered the Key of the Desolate Gates. This Key has Special Power and/or Abilities, see below.

                                                 Special Abilities

    #1  Locksmith Ability -  This key has the locksmithing ability. Whichever cache you place this key into, you must also put some form of a keyring into that cache (not on this tracker) for the next geocacher to find reguardless if you trade for something or not. It can be any keyring.

   #2    This key also has a one time ability to open the gates for the henchmen of Desolate Timbers. Once this Key has been taken from it's home Cache, the gates will open to start the unleashing of trackers with special powers and/or abilities.
