This is no ordinary geocaching trading item!

Sandy's Macaw Geocoin is a Cougar Mountain Macaw Geocoin Travel Bug, traveling from geocache to geocache on a very specific mission.

If you do not intend to log your visit on the Geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and its progress requires you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!

If you are willing to log your part of this Trackable's journey and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.

My Current Goal:

When my husband and I visited Paris many years ago, we stayed with our friend Sandy. Sandy had been asked by an acquaintance to care for her "parrot" while she was out of town. Sandy heard "parrot" and thought "parakeet," so he said OK. Well the bird in question was a beautiful but ill-tempered blue-and-yellow macaw. It was so big that the only place to put the perch was in the kitchen, right next to the bathroom door. After getting pecked once I learned to take two treats for each trip to the bathroom, one for going in and one for coming out.

This geocoin is to honor Sandy and his sacrifices to accommodate his friends! Please take it to lots of interesting caches. If it should visit Paris, that would be nice (I'd like to do so myself!), but anywhere it can travel is good.
