Historie klášterního kostela Narození Panny Marie:
Puvodní klášterní kostel Narození Panny Marie je typickou stavbou vznosné ceské gotiky I. poloviny 14. století. Sakristii tvorí upravený puvodní románský kostelík postavený zde biskupem Tobiášem z Bechyne. Stavba utrpela škody v husitských válkách i pri cetných požárech mesta. Chátrala a byla jen provizorne opravována. Teprve v letech 1725 až 1734 došlo pod lobkovickým patronátem k zásadní prestavbe. Litomerický architekt Octavio Broggio vtiskl chrámu novou tvár ve stylu barokní gotiky, když citlive spojil puvodní gotickou podobu s novými barokními postupy. Byla snížena výška klenby hlavní lodi, zásadní promenou prošlo prucelí stavby, nove doplnené dvojící veží. Z výzdoby interiéru stojí za pozornost kopie votivního obrazu Jana Ocka z Vlašimi, kopie obrazu tzv. Roudnické madony a dvoukrídlí deskový oltár ze 14. století.

Finding isn't difficult and you don't need much time for it. The cache is located near The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin. The original name of town Rúdnik / Rúdnica was given to it because of the red colored water spring in this area.
History of the church:
The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin , originally a minster, is a typical structure of the noble Bohemian Gothic of the first half of the 14th century. In a plan it is a tree aisled basilica with a brigtlz-lit presbytery. The sacristy is an adaptation of the original Romanesque chapel built on the site by Bishop Tobiáš of Bechyne. The structure suffered damage during the Hussite wars and in the numerous fires that swept trough the town, fell into disrepair and was only provisional reconstruction in 1725-1734. The Litomerice architect Octavio Broggio imprinted the church with a new appearance in the new Baroque Gothic style , in which he sensitively joined the original Gothic forms to new Baroque approaches. The vault above the nave was lower, and the facade was fundamentally altered by the addition of a pair of towers. Of the interior decoration, particular attention should be paid to tho copy of the votive painting of Jan Ocko z Vlašimi, a copy of the painting of the “Roudnice Madona” and the 14th century altar with its two wings.
