We don’t mean to be cheesy but this geocache is truly a mouse-terpiece!
More than 500 geocachers have been lured by this cache, nestled in a park near Québec City, Canada. Cache owners Jackwest and OusKonNé & Cétyla designed the cache for the the Rendez-vous Québec 2013 Mega Event.
The real beauty of this cache is the meticulous detail in the design. Crafted after a Victor wooden mouse trap, it features a movable lever arm and a smooth wooden base. No mousetrap is complete without cheese — in this case, a “cheesy” ammo can!
Every winter, the cache owners take the cache out of the park to avoid the brisk Canadian winter and add another layer of protective varnish so the cache maintains its shiny exterior. Moving the cache is no easy task — they must be careful to avoid park visitors who may question why they’re carrying around a 6-foot mousetrap! Despite the hard work it takes to maintain, they say the logs and funny photos make it all worth it.
Sweet dreams are made of cheese
Who am I to disagree?
