Geocaching 20th Anniversary Celebration rescheduled to 2021

Due to uncertainties related to Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19), Geocaching HQ is postponing the Geocaching 20th Anniversary Celebration to 2021.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but we feel this is the best way to host the event in a safe and responsible manner. Many of you have made travel arrangements for the celebration and have been concerned about postponing your plans as the date draws nearer. So, although we hope we are able to meet at events by August, we know there is currently too much uncertainty to guarantee a safe event for all.

We look forward to welcoming geocachers to celebrate with us in Seattle next year!

What: Geocaching 20th Anniversary Celebration (GC896PK)

When: Saturday, August 21, 2021

Where: Seattle Center in Seattle, WA

This gives everyone even more time to get excited about fun exhibits, vendor booths, speakers, and much more.

Those who pre-ordered event merchandise have received refunds.

Any previous reservations for the Geocaching HQ Visitor Center the week before and after the 20th Anniversary Celebration are cancelled. Free tickets for the Visitor Center will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on the Event website in January 2021. We will post an Announcement to the cache page when tickets are available.

GeoWoodstock (GC86VDF) in Abbotsford, British Columbia is also postponed, and will now be held on August 28, 2021. Plan for a week of wonderful celebrations in the Pacific Northwest!

Thanks so much for your understanding. We’ll continue to announce more details about the 20th anniversary as they become available.
