Who doesn’t love a geocache that stumps even the best of searchers? For September’s cache hiding theme, we challenged you to share your favorite sneaky camouflaged caches. See if you can spot these devious finds:

1. 1. GC71HYZ—The Enchanted Highway: Teddy Rides Again!

      If you don’t think this cache’s camo is genius, say “neigh!” Anyone galloping by this stagecoach structure wouldn’t notice this geocache at first glance. Or second… Or maybe at all. It’s amazing what a plank and some paint can do!

      If you’ve ever thought, “I searched the whole forest; where could this cache be??” then this video might shed some light. The oldest—and sneakiest—trick in the book. We love a good log inside a log find!

   3. GC9Q2J7—Trolley Car Park II
      

      

      
      Spoilers ahead, but we adore the hint for this tricky cache: “Only one of these has a hat.” So simple yet so, so evil!

   4. GCAQJDW—Watt’s Up, Doc?
      

      

      Anyone that thinks a hide has to be expensive should take a look at this cache. With some hard work, elbow grease, and fake rust, you too can hide a scrappy yet sneaky geocache to bamboozle finders.

      Some may not like city caches, but we think they’re “grate!” Especially when they’re as clever as this one. This find will have you second-guessing every screw and bolt you come across.

      You know you’ve come across a crafty cache when you see a gaggle of geocachers gathered at one spot. We’ll give you a hint in the picture above—can you spot the fake rung?

      If this image doesn’t prove that this is a tricky find, maybe the long list of DNF’s will. Don’t fret though, the cache is still there! Right under your nose… or maybe your feet?

      Say cheese! Now, quick, grab the cheese store’s address plate before anybody notices!This tasty find was placed by the shop owners, who get a good kick out of watching geocachers search for the elusive geocache. Now that’s “Gouda” camouflage!

These caches certainly stand out! Well… not literally.
