Ahoy mateys! Arrrrre ye ready for the adventure of yer lives?

Embrace your inner pirate and enjoy an adventure of a lifetime (or weekend) with It’s a Pirate’s Life For Me II (GC1NE2Y)!

Whether ye be a swashbucklin’ scallywag or a lollygaggin landlubber, this cache is sure to shiver your timbers!

This cache is not your average T5! Cache owner KiwiGary added an extra nautical twist to their cache, challenging geocachers to channel their inner pirate for this adventure on the high seas.

“Make sure all members of the team “Talk like a Pirate” during the entire hunt. But holding a knife between your teeth is not a cache requirement. Wearing of pirate hats is encouraged.”

The first challenge aspiring pirates face is finding a sea-worthy TOTT. In this case, a boat or kayak are highly recommended to safely navigate the Puhoi River. If you forgot your sea legs, you can wait for low tide to brave the crossing, but you’re sure to be in for a mucky mess.

No matter how you choose to cross, the route is not without its dangers! Make sure to check the tide and look out for sandbars to avoid getting ship-wrecked!

Sailing the briny deep is just the first (peg)leg of the journey. Once ashore, it’s time to swashbuckle through the brush to GZ. A clever pirate knows to use all the hints (and recent logs) on the cache page to find the treasure.

Avast! The treasure is finally at hand; a water-proof cache container cleverly hidden among the trees. Enjoy the booty within and trade a dubbloon or two before signing the log book and carefully replacing the container for the next marauder to find.
