Geocaching is for all the daydreamers out there. The make-believers who still believe in finding hidden treasure and pretenders who want to go on a grand adventure. Geocaching takes some imagination—and so does our Geocache of the Week.

Step into the land of pretend with us as we visit BLOCKHEAD (GC3PZQ6).

The journey starts on the outskirts of an expanse of farmland in southern Michigan, where one may find a tower made of concrete blocks. No information is given as to the purpose of this strange structure—that’s where the imagination comes in.

Complete with a door made of iron bars, this could have been a makeshift jail cell. Or perhaps Rapunzel’s tower (if Rapunzel were afraid of heights). Maybe even a storage area for farming equipment or grains (an unlikely option, as it’s much too boring for our story)!

No matter the intended use, geocachers can let their imaginations run wild when they visit this cache.

Though this cache castle may stand out upon arrival, geocachers will still need to put in work to reach the container and logbook inside.

Only those clever enough to decipher the code on the cache page will gain entry. Put your wits to the test—can you uncover the numbers to the padlock?

Success! Upon opening the gate, one can easily find this tower’s prisoner: the geocache. Complete with a bounty of treasure inside, the make-believe adventure doesn’t stop just yet!

Some cachers choose to leave behind extra-large occupants in the cell to really liven up the space.

After signing the logbook and taking a souvenir photo, it’s time to lock this cache up and head off to greener pastures.

This geocache brought not only another find, but the chance to revisit the wonderful land of imagination. We can’t imagine what geocaches we’ll find next…
