This Geocache of the Week is an ode to an American culinary classic, the peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Unassuming on the outside, sweet and savory on the inside, the PB&J is a nostalgic lunchbox staple.

Pump Up The Jam (GCA9ERG) lives up to the humble legacy of its namesake. At first glance, this appears to be an ordinary cache hidden inside a birdhouse. But geocachers familiar with Nana_Bee’s caches know there’s more to this cache than meets the eye.

As a multi-media artist, I love to build caches that allow me to flex my creative muscles. I like to make caches that are unique and unusual… Pump Up The Jam is a very simple gadget cache that anyone can solve in less than a minute, but it’s sure to put a smile on your face… or make you hungry.” —Nana_Bee

It’s the attention to detail that really sets this design apart; the inside of the cache is decorated with grape-purple accents (although raspberry-red would also be acceptable), and a magnetic blob of jelly holds a table knife, the perfect TOTT to spread some inspiration to struggling geocachers.

No PB&J is complete without peanut butter! The missing ingredient and the logbook are sandwiched behind a secret panel disguised as a slice of bread, while a hovering bee guards the com‘bee’nation lock.

If this cache leaves your mouth watering for your own cache creation, take a page out of Nana_Bee’s recipe book and get creative!

It doesn’t have to cost an arm a leg to build something fun and unique. Check your scrap wood pile, your junk drawer, and yard sales for interesting objects to work with. Don’t worry if it’s not a work of art, as long as it works.” —Nana_Bee
