Adventure, exploration, and friends at Cache In Trash Out® Season 1
Once again, geocachers proved they aren’t afraid of a challenge!
Over 16,000 geocachers stepped up and attended 2,300 CITO Events between March 1 and May 31!
1. GCB4MY1 – CITO dans l’eau

Geocachers hate a soggy log book, but these geocachers didn’t think twice about soggy feet in the pursuit of treasure and trash!
Geocachers took to the canals of Grand-Est, France, to enjoy a “magnificent wet moment, of sharing, laughter and conviviality.”—Xstelle
2. GCB5MH3 – Mountain View CITO

A small but determined group of geocachers from Guam sought to clean up a park at the foot of the “world’s tallest mountain.”
At only 1,300 feet (400 meters), Mount Lamlam may seem small, but it holds the record for the “greatest change in elevation on Earth over such a short distance,” when measured against the nearby Mariana Trench.
3.GCB4HYT – 2nd Annual Kuna Cave CITO

While some geocachers went high in their quest for trash, these geocachers went low, really low.
Geocachers geared up for a second time to clean out Kuna Cave in Idaho, USA. Getting there proved to be half the battle for these would-be spelunkers! Flooded roads only added to the challenge of this Event!
4. GCB6052 – Daily Dose of Happiness – May the 4th B w/ U CITO

This CITO Event went above and beyond—to space! Hosted on Star Wars Day, geocachers dressed up as their favorite celestial characters from the movie franchise to collect garbage.
May the force (and the hand sanitizer) be with you!
And just like that, Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) 2025 Season 1 comes to an end! Join us September 1 – November 30 for Season 2 and another souvenir.
