This year was exceptional for unique geocaches worldwide, and we’ve compiled a list of the top 10 to share. From a clever disguise in Switzerland and a colorful gadget cache in Texas to a not-so-little library in Canada and a sneaky lock near an iconic Spanish landmark, the variety is sure to excite.
To create this list, we evaluated the most-liked geocaches on our blog, Facebook, and YouTube. Each week, we spotlight diverse geocaches from around the globe. Now, we want to hear your favorites!
1.) Remember Depot Wiesenplatz – GC7PNK0

Hidden in an unexpected location below the surface is a well-camouflaged geocache with more than 150 Favorite points. In downtown Klybeck, one sewer grate is home to a geocache that attracts the community.
Thousands of pedestrians walk past this spot, unaware that a world-famous geocache is hidden right below their feet. Visit the sidewalk in Klybeck, Switzerland, to find this geocache (GC7PNK0).

Who doesn’t enjoy a relaxing geocache? This birdhouse container appears to be a quick find, but there’s more to discover. Join us at Bydir’s 10.000ste (GC6XWCC).
3.) You Make The Chain! ( Gadget Cache ) – GC6P20K

Sometimes we encounter a complex gadget geocache and wonder how the cache owner created such a unique design.
This gadget cache asks geocachers to use the provided materials to make a tool, retrieve the key, and open the geocache (GC6P20K). The puzzle itself, however, is a real challenge.
4.) Harry Potters TB-Schloss – GC9ZD1Y

Not far from nearby homes and the A13 highway is the TB castle of Harry Potter. This geocache (GC9ZD1Y) is located under the eaves of an unassuming building and is ready to be discovered. Finding the geocache is straightforward, but opening it requires geocachers to solve a code using a hint from the cache page.

Echoes Beyond the Gate (GCAWZTF) is a geocache hidden in a unique feature of the West Virginia Botanic Garden, a peaceful spot for wildlife and blooming flowers.

Hidden on Ward’s Island, Bridge Boutique (GCXCEX) features vibrant colors and creativity, reflecting the area’s community spirit.
9.) SAGRADA FAMÍLIA – GCA83B8

Barcelona’s Sagrada Família is one of the world’s most celebrated architectural sites. Near Gaudí’s towers, a 3D-printed geocache (GCA83B8) is hidden for visitors to find.
This geocache reflects Gaudí’s spirit of innovation, and its 3D-printed lock combines technology and creativity in tribute to the architect and the basilica.

Some geocaches test your navigation skills. Others challenge your puzzle-solving abilities. Het Escapehouse (GCB4WBN) combines both, inside a miniature replica of a real home.
Created by Nabuursjes with support from students at Praktijkschool De Singel and Arnoud van Uden, this geocache brings the escape room experience outdoors, complete with switches, clues, and a clever code.
