Today we’re highlighting one of these partners, Project-GC, a web-based tool that connects to your Geocaching.com account and offers robust planning tools, statistics, and more. Below is a list of just some of the features Project-GC offers.

1. Challenge checkers
In the tools section of Project-GC you’ll find a section called “Challenge Checkers”. This section of the website has thousands of challenge checkers for different community-created geocaching challenges from all over the world. You can browse through the checkers and see which challenges you’re close to completing.

2. Profile stats
The profile stats on Project-GC answer just about every question you could have regarding your geocaching history and achievements. In this section of Project-GC you can see everything from the cache with the highest elevation you’ve found to how many different difficulty and terrain combinations you’ve completed. Plus, Project-GC provides an HTML code for the statistics display, which you can copy and paste into your profile on Geocaching.com!

3. Karma score
Geocaching is famously a game about giving, that is, giving life to new geocaches and giving Favorite points, so it only makes sense that Project-GC came up with a way to measure your geocaching karma. Your karma score equals the number of logs you’ve received on your caches divided by the number of caches you’ve logged. You can see your karma score in your Project-GC statbar.

4. Cache stats
Project-GC also offers rich statistics on geocaches. On their site you can see which geocaches have the most logs or which have the highest percentage of Favorite points, and you can search for “lonely caches” that haven’t been logged recently or search for regions in the world that have a high concentration of Favorite points.

5. Batch discover trackables
For geocachers who are into trackables, it can often be a fair amount of work to post all your “Discovered” logs after seeing a bunch of cool trackables at an Event. Project-GC makes that work much easier. With their “Discover trackables” tool, you can log up to 500 trackable codes at once.

API partner applications are designed to work with the core services of Geocaching.com and provide additional features to the community and Geocaching Premium members.
