We&#8217;re excited to celebrate Blue Switch Day, the 25th anniversary of geocaching, and the arrival of two new Treasure collections.<\/p>\n<p>Two new collections, <em>Classic trackables<\/em> and <em>Mystery books<\/em>, will be available starting May 6 at 12:00 PM UTC. To start collecting Treasure from the <em>Classic trackables<\/em> collection, geocachers must first complete the <em>Celebrating 25 years<\/em> collection. To start collecting Treasure from the <em>Mystery books<\/em> collection, geocachers must first complete the <em>Navigational tools<\/em> collection.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve completed the necessary prerequisite collections, you can collect Treasures by finding and logging geocaches that meet the criteria for either collection.<\/p>\n<p>Starting May 6 at 12:00 PM UTC, you can view the criteria for the new collections by clicking the <strong>information symbol on the collection display<\/strong> on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geocaching.com\/play\/treasure\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Treasures page<\/a>.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-147611\" src=\"https:\/\/www.geocaching.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Treasures_Info-Symbol-656x216.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"656\" height=\"216\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogassets.geocaching.com\/blog\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Treasures_Info-Symbol-656x216.jpg 656w, https:\/\/blogassets.geocaching.com\/blog\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Treasures_Info-Symbol-300x99.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogassets.geocaching.com\/blog\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Treasures_Info-Symbol.jpg 1362w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 656px) 100vw, 656px\" \/>These collections are <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>not<\/strong><\/span> time-limited. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">You can collect the Treasure at your own pace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Whether you\u2019re still working on <em>Geocaching origins<\/em> or ready to start a new collection, here are a few things to keep in mind as you collect Treasure:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sometimes, a single geocache meets the criteria for more than one Treasure. For example, the Traditional Cache egg and the <em>Navigational tools<\/em> Treasures have overlapping criteria. If a geocacher hasn\u2019t collected the Traditional Cache egg and has not completed the <em>Navigational tools<\/em> collection, and they log a qualifying geocache, they will collect only one Treasure, randomly chosen from either collection.<\/li>\n<li>If a log is deleted, the Treasure collected from that log is removed. To collect the Treasure again, find and log a different geocache that meets the criteria.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We value your feedback about the new Treasures feature and want to hear from you!
