Cleverly constructed, well-hidden, and a cheeky comedic double meaning\u2014this is what Balls of Steel – Gadget Cache (GC7A989<\/a>) has in store for geocachers.<\/p>\n

Not only must you crack this geocache, but you first have to find it. Cradled under an extremely realistic-looking fake rock (a geocaching favorite) is an interesting container. No need to bring Tools of the Trade<\/a> (TOTT), as they are included with the cache, but steady hands are welcome.<\/p>\n

At first glance, this gadget cache seems nearly impossible to crack. Meticulously designed and deceptively complex, this cache turns a simple find into a full-on brain teaser. When frustration sets in, know that RoombaCats<\/a> has done their job\u2014you\u2019re exactly where you’re meant to be.<\/p>\n

Upon further inspection, it becomes evident that steel balls are a method of transportation, and the log sheet is hidden with a much smaller plastic log container inside. This is the highly desired target. Get the log sheet container out, and you\u2019re a true whiz!<\/p>\n

You could shake the tube for a while, but you probably would not make much progress. Thankfully, the owner has included one very important TOTT\u2014a magnet! Suddenly, this find seems a lot more attainable.<\/p>\n

Per the cache owner\u2019s instructions, the idea is to use the magnet as a maneuver to pass the small plastic container through the two large steel balls, allowing it to reach the exit hole on the opposite side of the tube. Did you bring patience? Perseverance is a noble trait!<\/p>\n

After retrieving and signing the esteemed logsheet, to return the container, remove the little metal cap on the back and push the container through the hole\u2014don\u2019t worry, it knows the way. Put the cap back on and make sure to pop the magnet into its cozy side spot in the clear tube to keep creepy crawlies out. Mission complete!<\/p>\n
