The Hartland Bridge, a historical marvel, opened on July 4, 1901. It’s the world’s longest covered bridge, at 1,282 feet (391 m) long, crossing the Saint John River from Hartland to Somerville, New Brunswick, Canada. The framework consists of seven small Howe Truss bridges joined together on six piers.<\/p>\n

In addition to being a fantastic way to get your steps in and a dryer way to cross the river, it\u2019s also home to a cleverly hidden geocache. To find this geocaching masterpiece, walk to the third pier in the water and face the traffic. The geocache is on the left diagonal beam, just a few feet off the ground. It shouldn\u2019t be too hard to locate once in the right area.<\/p>\n
