The Canadian Badlands are vast, but what can seem like empty space between major centres is filled with unusual or forgotten, intriguing, curious and beautiful things. The Canadian Badlands Geocaching Association (CBGA) takes adventurous geocachers slightly off the beaten path to enjoy fascinating points of interest they wouldn't otherwise see along the established Touring Routes in the Canadian Badlands.
On the Coal Trails and Prairie Rails Touring Route, Boomtown communities and an extensive river valley system greet you as you travel east from Red Deer. Explore the Canadian Badlands at Dry Island Buffalo Jump, dinosaur fossils at the world-class Royal Tyrrell Museum and coal mining history at the Atlas Coal Mine. Conclude your journey with an action packed train ride along the Trail of the Buffalo.
