This is the first in a series of geocaches aimed at exploring Merthyr Tydfil. Future caches will range in type and difficulty but the first eight will be inter-related. This cache has six parts to it.

Merthyr Marathon MM1 - Guest  Appearance

This is the second in the Merthyr Marathon series. You will need information found doing MM1 to get started on this one. This multicache consists of four virtuals and one traditional cache.

Merthyr Marathon MM2 - Tunnel Vision 

This is the third in a series of caches aimed at exploring Merthyr Tydfil. You will need to have picked up the answers to questions on the first two to do this three part cache.

Merthyr Marathon MM3 - Crypt with a View

This is the fourth in a series of caches aimed at exploring Merthyr Tydfil. You will need information gathered on the first two to do this four-stage cache.

Merthyr Marathon MM4 - Hand of Crawshay

This is the fifth in a series of caches aimed at exploring Merthyr Tydfil and, perhaps, most deserving of the "marathon" qualification! You will need information gained in completing earlier caches in the series in order to start this one. There are ten stages to this cache.

Merthyr Marathon MM5 - Terrific Trevithick 

This is the sixth in a series of caches aimed at exploring Merthyr Tydfil. You will need information gained from earlier caches in the series in order to start this one. There are six stages to this cache.

Merthyr Marathon MM6 - Friends Miners and Climbers

This is the seventh in the Merthyr Marathon series. You will need information gained in completing earlier caches in the series in order to start this one. There are eight stages to this cache. 

Merthyr Marathon MM7- Tragedy 

This is the eighth cache in the Merthyr Marathon series. You will need information gained in completing earlier caches in the series in order to start this one. There are nine stages to this cache.

Merthyr Marathon MM8 - Taff Gorgeous 

This is the ninth of the Merthyr Marathon series. Exceptionally, in this case, you will not need information gained in completing earlier caches in the series in order to do this one.

Merthyr Marathon MM9 – Meet the Ancestors

A collection of 9 multi-caches. Most have a number of 'virtual' caches in which you gather information leading to the final cache. You must complete them in order from 1 to 8 (the ninth cache was added later) to able to complete the Marathon.
