An excellent museum with lots of hands on stuff for kids, children's trails, and often extra family activities

  Unfortunately disabled at the moment because of the construction work, but hopefully it will get replaced because this is one of the best parks in the region: ducks, boating lake, and when it is finished off the playground will be by far the best around

Lotherton hall has lots to do - a deer park, gardens and a huge bird garden including condors and other exotic species also an excellent adventure playgound all of which are free, a shop and cafe.

  Temple Newsam is a nice place to take kids. There is a farm with plenty of animals to feed, playground and lots of open grassy areas.
This cache is a short walk through the grounds.
Parking is free in the farm car park

  Requires crawling into a small cave. Take a torch and be prepared to get muddy - our kids loved it  

GC18GDF Unknown Cache Harry Potter and the Happily Ever After?
  Pleasant walk around a reservoir picking up the other harry potter caches and answering questions about Harry to gain the final coordinates  

GCKVNA Unknown Cache Hexa-Flexa-Cache
  A puzzle cache that older kids will have fun solving. Print it off and do it before you go though. The given coordinates for the puzzle are very near to Eureka one of the best children's attractions around. Without given anything away the true coords are in a child friendly location too  

GCZTJ9 Multi-cache Let's Go Truffling in the Village
  The Elsecar heritage center is a good place for kids, steam engine, toy shop, indoor soft play area.
Unfortunately this multi focused on the center finishes in a micro so not good to placate the kids treasure yearnings, but there are other caches nearby.

  Excellent short walk around mini sculptures. Well worth the effort.

  Myrtle Park at Bingley is the home of four caches which are suitable for children as they are within or very close to the park boundaries and the park itself has a children's playground and a shop by the bowling green which sells ice cream, pop and crisps and sweets.
Try Myrtle Mystery, Mini Myrtle, Myrtle Steps and The Safe House.

  A longer walk (about 3 and a half miles) but easy terrain and plenty to spot on the way round
