Cache Machines (PNW)
Public
What is a "cache machine"? It's a Pacific Northwest phenomenon - a day of power caching and socializing along a pre-planned route, with a dinner event at the end. The route usually highlights many Favorited caches in the area. The first post in this forum thread gives you the general idea: http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=314156 TravisL originated the Cache Machine concept in 2002, and continues to organize them four times a year. You can see the list of upcoming Cache Machines on his profile page: http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=7903f6db-0bcc-482e-8667-9fe7d77aae0a&wid=f8326214-e47b-44da-a838-420e163f8142&ds=2 Alas, TravisL plans to retire from CM management in 2023. So enjoy it while it lasts! TravisL's primer for planning a Cache Machine: http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?s=&showtopic=106202&view=findpost&p=1728799
