GizaGal messaged me. Two new caches in Toongabbie an hour ago. I’d just finished playing tennis with J. “Come on mate” ….. “No Dad” … “ok, I’ll go alone”. Yet another night search … I definitely need to buy a big torch. My iPhone’s torch barely cuts the mustard.
I parked near the CFA and walked to GZ. Yoo hoo …. That was quick. and a blank log. tftc

Two new caches released last night ..

I had to drop my son off to catch a 5:30am train so rather than returning to bed I headed out to Tyers. W3 wasn’t too bad. My Falcon did it easily although I frequently had to stop to clear the track of fallen limbs .. a good sign!! .. No one has been out here. I tried Jenga first but was unsuccessful to then drove to Abseil and arrived on daybreak.  Bloody hell!! .. up there??  How the hell do I get up there??    I headed back up the road until the slope became climbable.  I scrambled up the hill and found myself “up there”!!..  The cache was quickly found and signed…  The descent was much quicker when you can see where you are heading to …

I went home, collected overalls, gum-boots (no pink and glittery gumboots for real geocaching men!!) towels, sheets, torch, what else will we need? ropes? , ... picked up N and we proceeded to GZ.
.
After reading the geocache details and kyabbott's log .. and I was already pretty sure what we were in for. After a careful inspection of the area I was sure I knew where it would be. 

For an ol' fella and his mid-teen son, we both passed the required "level of fitness" ... and yes a torch, old clothes and gumboots were essential.
The actual cache was found about 20m from the GZ but this didn't present any problems to these two experienced geocache seekers.
Thanks hamfish for a great cache ... I'm not sure every mother would want their son experiencing the intestine of the leviathan... however, my mum doesn't care and N's mum didn't know .. so all was fine.

I was relying on my memory of the cache hints .. and mixed up the hint with this one with the hint for Deep In The Craic: WAB WAB 31, so spent far too long looking in all the wrong places .. in desperation, as I was going … I looked in the right place and there was the little blighter … . tftc.

I’d been watching these three new caches since their release … and was surprised to see they were still undiscovered more than 5 weeks later … so I took advantage of the fact that I had a free weekend, and good weather … a great opportunity to snare them.
I had forgotten that I would have no signal in the area … so luckily I’d done some homework and read the hints and knew the rough location of each cache .. 
The story ended with a happy ending .. 4/4 caches including three FTFs. A satisfying afternoon. tftc

I arrived at GZ, and after an initial search of the wrong place, honed in on the right place. Thankfully the co-ords were spot on ... and a clear log book!!

I checked my emails when I woke and saw a new cache less than 10km from home. 
After some googling, including some Russian translating... we had identified the images. We calculated the co-ords using our best guess for the numbers - although not sure how to use the "0.5". 
The co-ords came out to be right beside the rail trail ... so they seemed legit.
We jumped in the car and made a dash, hoping there would be no school kid muggles ... luckily there weren't.
After a quick search the prize was in hand, and a virgin log!! The joy!

After some careful scissor work with GizaGal, GG, A and I assembled the jigsaw to determine the coordinates.  
GG A and I drove to GZ and after brief search had the unusually coloured cute cache in hand.  
ty for the cache Kato and MSL, it is great to see this series expanded.

**FTF**   21:00 16/7/17 .. solved with the help of Pauline.  
I saw this released yesterday.  I googled and came up empty handed.  
So today I searched a bit more without luck, then a brain wave hit me … phone a friend.  
I called Pauline, an ambo friend, and quickly my patience (see what I did there??) was rewarded.  
I solved the puzzle, plugged in the co-ordinated and got the coveted green tick.  
I checked on google maps .. right on the rail trail .. but OMG .. 1.2km from the nearest road.   Bloody hell, 5 degrees on a winter’s night.   Why couldn’t this one be next to a road??? 
None of my kids wanted to come so I set off alone.
I drove to the nearest road and walked the walk.  
After a brief search the cute cache was in hand ….

FTF with A 8:45am 14/7. Cool cache!
I had to take A to school at Fed Training, and this was sorta kinda on the way ...

The co-ords were spot on .. and the unexpected cache was quickly in our hands ...
I too grew up in Morwell and went to school in Traralgon (probably the same school as Noona!?!) .. 
35 years ago the stink from APM was horrible ... I think with local and regulatory pressure the mill has improved .. decreased output of smelly .. .. although there are still times where I smell that rotten egg pong ..

After looking in all the wrong places .. at two locations .. the cache was in the last placed I looked (aren’t they always!!) .. - the cache container had no log?? I placed a corner of my map in the cache as a temp log .... tftc.

Got an email at 12:05 .. just in time for lunch and a quick drive to Churchill. So I called GG and asked her if she wanted to rendezvous ... of course she said.
So we met just off the freeway and headed to GZ. The co-ords lead us straight to the cache .. and it was quickly in hand.
