Geocache Description:

[EST] Inglisilla aare on peidetud rahvarohkesse kohta. Olge ettevaatlikud, et aarde asukohta mitte paljastada, parim aeg otsinguks on öösel.
[ENG] The cache is in crowded place. Be careful when you search for this cache, recommended at night!

[EST] Algselt ehitati Inglisild ajutise sillakese asemele aastatel 1814-16 arhitekt J. W. Krause projekti järgi.
See valmis 1838. a.
Sild remonditi kapitaalselt 1913. a., mil Toome-poolsele küljele paigutati ülikooli esimese rektori G. Fr. Parroti portreereljeef (skulptor C. v. Wetter-Rosenthal) koos pühendustekstiga.
Silla nimi tuleneb ilmselt nimetusest "Inglise sild", sest Toomemäe park on rajatud inglise stiilis.

Aardekarp on väike, sisaldades algselt vaid logiraamatut, pliiatsit ja geopeituse juhendit. Karbi sisu täiendama on eriti oodatud pisikesed inglikujukesed :-)

[ENG] Inglisild (Angel’s bridge) was originally built in 1814-16, designed by architect J. W. Krause.
By 1836 the bridge was destroyed. New bridge was designed by prof. M. H. Jacoby, based on Krause’s project. The bridge was completed in 1838.
In 1913 Inglisild was renewed and the portrait of Tartu University’s first rector G. Fr. Parrot (sculptor C. v. Wetter-Rosenthal) was added.
The cache box is small, containing pencil, logbook and geocaching rules. You are very welcome to add tiny angels :-)
