I'm a certified flight instructor, and this cache is part of a series with an aviation theme. There are 8 caches in the series, hence the name. This one is located just off the walking trail that goes through the east end of Brookdale Park in Brooklyn Park. This cache has been approved by the BP Recreation and Parks Department.

You’re searching for the smallest container in this series, a cylindrical plastic jar about 2” in diameter x 2” tall. Room only for geocoins and small items. Original contents: $1 for the first finder and cstjohn’s breast cancer geocoin.
You can probably access the trail from multiple directions. The easiest way is to park on Xerxes Ave. where the path crosses the road.
The North American P-51 Mustang, which was introduced in 1942, was the fighter plane that allowed the Allies to achieve air superiority over Germany by early 1944 during WW2. It was a single-seat fighter that eventually was equipped with a 12-cylinder Merlin engine that allowed it to reach a maximum speed of 487 miles per hour at 25,000 feet. Chuck Yeager flew the Mustang in World War II and recorded most of his 12.5 kills in it. Restored Mustangs are still a popular sight at airshows today.
