The Lee-Kay Family Educational County Forest is provided for your enjoyment by John and Mary Heisler of Fond du Lac, WI. They donated the forest to the citizens of Pierce County to share the family stewardship of the property with future generations. The vision of this forest property is to provide public recreation land for outdoor recreational activities and serve as an outdoor classroom for forestry educational instruction. Over 15 different species of trees have been identified along the hiking trail through this 40 acre parcel – take time to read the signs as they provide some interesting tidbits of information. Plenty of wildlife can be seen throughout this area as well.
