Geocache Description:

Ciurlionio Street is a calm nice street that streches out from the Eastern Vingio park entrance toward the GCYQ1K geocache placed by kibiras.

Enjoy the park and take a walk down by a low traffic, calm street. Visit the SOLDATENFRIEDHOF cemetery, spot high motor traffic on the Gelezinio Vilko street. A former Draugyste (now Crowne Plaza) hotel is on the Southern side of the street while Vilnius University Astronomic Observatory is on the opposite side. The signs read you are not permitted to enter its territory, but try your luck. Warning: there lives one large doggy that doesn't like cyclists very much. You should have found the cache by now, so no worries. Leave the Japanese and Latvian embassies behind you and go toward Tauro Kalnas. Take some extra care if you ride a bicycle after a rain or snow - the street pavement further to the East may be dangerously slippery.

The street is named after Mikalojus Konstantinas Ciurlionis, the famous Lithuanian artist and composer, go google to view some of his paintings, there are plenty of them on the net.

Initially the cache was a small 35mm film canister, but not anymore. It is somewhat smaller now.

The coords provided are only approximate. As with all my hides I try to do as much sampling as possible, but seldom get a professional precision. Don't expect to find the cache exactly at the numbers your GPSr reads. Other than plainly logging "off coords" please add your version of correct coords, this will make your entry useful both for cache owner and other seekers. Appreciate your cooperation.
