Surrey School Days 1: But what's his name?
How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
This is the first in a series which I hope will develop like X Marks the Spot. The coords are not for the cache but for another school in the general vicinity.
This late, great caucasian is a musical hero of mine. He went to school in Surrey. He didn't get thrown out, and probably left without much fuss. His father, despite claims to the contrary, did not steal money from banks.
Approximately 0.170 minutes North and 0.360 minutes West of the school's main entrance is a monument to a local worthy who used to live very close to the school.
How old was the "worthy" when (s)he died? (Answer=AB)
How many main panels of tribute text are there on the monument? (Answer = C)
Below the C main panels there is a short statement. How many words long is that statement? (Answer=D)
Several words on the monument (strangely) have an American English spelling. How many, beginning with the letter H, do so? (Answer = E)
How many words in total are there in the left-most panel, including ampersands? (Answer= FG)
The cache is at
N 51 1(C+D).(A-1)F(E*B)
W 000 F(D+E).(G-D)(C-B)(A-G)
Please replace the cache box exactly as you found it and don't leave any spoilers in the log. Please feel free to continue the series with a cache of your own.
