RoadRunner: Hi,
This cache has been temporarily disabled for a very long time. As much as I would like to see this cache remain, I am archiving this since it appears to be gone and there are no recent notes indicating it will be returning to an active state. If you wish to continue this cache please either resubmit a cache listing for review or contact me and I can unarchive it provided the listing meets current guidelines.

Thank you

Geocache Description:

This is the most popular Las Vegas cache. Over 276 visits in 4 years.
The overall difficulty: 2 About 1 hr Round Trip
Terrain rating: 3 Nice Trail then short but steep hiking to rocky promontory.

This Stash provides a great view of Las Vegas from the mountains south of town. This is great night hike. The lights of the city are almost bright enough to take you to the cache. However, you must park on the street, as the parking lot is chained at dusk.

From the Las Vegas Strip, take I-15 to I-215 East and exit south on Green Valley Parkway. At Horizon Ridge, turn left and look for High Mesa on the right past the Willows Country Club. Turn Right on High Mesa. Then follow High Mesa until it turns into Cypress Mesa. Park in the City View Hiking Trail Parking lot on the left unless youreturn after dark, and the lot is chained. There are nice rest rooms and a drinking fountain.

Follow the trail 15 minutes to the top of the hill. Continue past the 3rd bench on the foot path to the point where it decends to a saddle.

Here you need to practice "leave no trace" by avoiding previous tracks or pathways.

Pull carefully on the side of the lid until it pops free.
