Geocache Description:

Stokmilen

Stokmilen

God jagt.

At the end of Damstedvej - "Kongevejen" - you have a parkinglot.

The mountain that rises before you is “Stokmilen”

From the top you have a lovely wiev at Skagen, the sea, Klitgaarden and the
heat-
habitat

Klitgaarden was built in 1914 by the late King Christian X as a private holiday
residence for the Royal Family.

Architectural design for the Klitgaarden was made by Ulrik Plesner, a highly
renowned architect of those years, known from his design of many houses in
Skagen and in Copenhagen.

After the death of King Christian X in 1947, the Klitgaarden - or The Royal Villa,
as many people from Skagen preferred to call the house - was used by Queen Alexandrine.

When Queen Alexandrine died, Prince Knud, became the owner of Klitgaarden.

Klitgaarden remained in the possession of his family until 1997 and then sold the
house to the Klitgaarden Trust.

Nice hunt.
