Geocache Description:

Dansk | English | Hint & log

Dansk

English

Hedeland offers many interesting experiences, including a narrow gauge heritage railway. It is projected to cover approximately 7 kilometres between Hedehusene and Tune – today it covers about 5 kilometres and starts at the depot, workshop, and carriage shed at Hedehusgård Station in Hedehusene.

Hedelands Veteranbane (Hedeland Heritage Railway) is operated by Industribaneklubben (Industrial Railway Club), whose members devote much of their spare time for free to the duties needed, including restoration and maintenance of vehicles and tracks and the day to day operation during the season.

If you are interested, you are welcome to visit the workshop on working days: Saturdays from 9.30am and Monday evenings. Everyone is welcome – whether you just like trains or want to join in the work.

This cache has been placed as part of the Natevent Hedeland 2007 event; do not expect to find an FFC left in the cache once it is publicly released.

Please respect the rolling stock placed in the area – do not crawl onto any of it without permission.
