Geocache Description:

Tour around churches of Kuldiga

Kuldiga (first mentioned in 1242) is one of most beautiful towns in Latvia definitely worth visiting. Besides it’s medieval architecture another important sight is Ventas rumba, possibly the widest waterfall in Europe.
To look for the cache, you should first go to N56 57.970’, E021 58.068” and you should find yourself in front or entrance of St. Anna’s church. There is a stone plate showing church’s construction years. Your first number (x) is year, the building was finished minus year it was started.
Second place is an orthodox church (N56 58.150’, E021 57.870’). Second number (y) is the number of house opposite to entrance in church.
Third place is St. Catharine’s church (N56 58,208', E21 58.361’) built in 1252 but it’s original architecture was changed quite significantly by reconstructions after several wars and fires. To get the third number you should find out how many faces does the clock in church tower has (z).
Now go to N 56 58 (178+x+y+z)', E21 58(712+x+y+z)' and get the cache.
