This cache is located in the beautiful Silver Lake Park, which is located one-mile south from Hwy. 50 on Hwy. “F” (Silver Lake Rd.). The park is open from 7AM –10 PM (nice for you night cachers). There is no park admission fee in this area.
This 260-acre park features one of the best sandy beaches in southeastern Wisconsin. Excellent picnic areas, bathhouse, concession stand, picnic shelters, lakeside playground equipment, sand volleyball, soccer fields, windsurfing area, and convenient parking all combine to create a popular getaway on summer days. There are some neat trails and hiking paths here, too! (Where do they go? I don’t know! But that’s the adventure!). Bluesquirtles, papajeep, and mega_monkey also have some nice caches hidden in this area.
It’s a short hike from the parking area. Follow the grass path up the hill. You will enjoy the view of Silver Lake from this area. You can see the Wilmot Mountain Ski Area on the other side of the Lake from here, too! Bring something to write with to sign the log.
