How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
This cache started out as a temporary for our geocaching demonstration at Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy's Earth Day observance. We decided to make it permanent to remind people of the principles behind Earth Day. Besides, aren't geocachers experts at recycling and reusing? The container has room for a logsheet, small trade items, and geocoins. It replaces the original container and, although still a small, is somewhat smaller than the one that went missing. It is hidden in plain sight, blends in well with its surroundings, and is DEFINITELY NOT WINTER FRIENDLY. However, it could be found under snow if you're persistent. Be sure to visit the other caches hidden in this beautifully preserved area. As you begin your hike, stay on the east side of the creek. The parking coordinates given are very close to the trailhead. Parking along Hwy. 67 can make for a nasty bushwhack. No after-dark visits please-Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy is open from dawn to dusk.
