The Final Approach II Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cobalt: Didn't get the e-mails to archive as I am a busy working student. Hoped to have a chance to replace in the future but alas time marches on and great locations are at a premium. Thanks to all those who have visited and enjoyed. Excited to see what comes next.

Geocache Description:

Good, short hike for all ages--great view and a fun cache!

This cache is hidden at the summit of an Orange City foothill near where we grew up. Requires a short but moderately strenuous hike with a 250 ft. elevation gain. We named it The Final Approach because if you've ever flown into John Wayne airport, chances are you've flown over this hill. Beware of killer cacti and rattlesnakes--prepare accordingly.

This cache overlooks the beautiful city of Orange and many other cities. The view extends to the ocean on a clear day. Bring lots of water and good shoes. Please please please replace the cache as found so it won't get stolen again. Have fun!!! This is a good place to park: N 33 47.555 W 117 47.556 There are several trails up to the top but here's a good starting point: N 33 47.615 W 117 47.576 The cache container is a clear, 3-quart rectangular plastic container with a white lid.
