The first waypoint will take you to Oak Ridge Cemetery. This small cemetery is surrounded by a wildlife area but it is very well maintained and still used today. There are LOTS of thorns at the final!
Find the "Woodman of the World".
Final Coords: N44.13.ABC W090.13.DEF
For ABC: Take the year of birth and subtract 1594 - For DEF: Take the year of death and subtract 1762
The final is located near one of the many wilderness campgrounds in the Meadow Valley Wildlife Area. Do not attempt this cache at night as you could disturb any campers that might be in the area. There are no fees or stickers required. There are also no fees for using the camp sites, but registration is required.
Be sure to check out the benchmark located near the cache.
If you have the time while in the cemetery, find Mabel Carter's stone and stand on top of the small mound just about five feet in front of it. Be very still and listen closely as you say Mabel's name while facing the stone. We hope it has the same effect for you as when we did it. Let us know what you think in your log.
