Avarat maisemat, hienot kalliot, siirtolohkareita ja vanhat rauniot.
Yksi reitti kätkölle kulkee siten, että nousee bussipysäkin kohdalta ylös raunioille ja jatkaa siitä matkaa kaakon kautta kiertäen koko kalliojyrkännealueen (ylhäällä) myötäpäivään. Matkalle osuu monta näköalaa ja mielenkiintoisia kallioita.
Hieman haasteellista kiipeämistä kaipaavat lähestyvät kätköä jyrkänteen lounaan/etelän puoleiselta sivustalta järven suunnalta.
Kätkön kohdalta korkeaa jyrkännettä ylös tai alas pääsee vain asianmukaisin kiipeilyvälinein.
Kiipeile kalliolla varovasti, etenkin liukkaina aikoina. Paikka on lapsille varmasti myös mielenkiintoinen, mutta varovaisuutta ja aikuisten valvontaa tarvitaan. Kätkölle pääsee kuitenkin helposti turvallista reittiä eikä aivan jyrkänteen reunalle tarvitse mennä.
Kesällä aluskasvillisuus voi haitata ensimetreillä, mutta ylempänä mäellä maasto on kohtuu mukavaa kulkea, etenkin ylhäällä jyrkänteen reuna-alueilla.
Karstun linnavuorta on pidetty rautakautisena muinaislinnana, mutta asiasta ei olla lainkaan yksimielisiä. Jostain kohtaa kallioseinämää (alhaalla) pitäisi löytyä myös muinainen kalliomaalus: (visit link)
Talviattribuutti on arvio. Runsaslumisena tai -jäisenä aikana voi vaatia pientä kaivamista.

Open scenery, nice cliffs, boulders from ice age and old ruins.
One route to the cache starts from the bus stop up to the close by ruins and then go around the whole cliff (on top) clockwise starting from SE. There will be many nice viewpoints on the way and intresting cliffs.
If you want a small climbing challenge, then approach the cliffs from the sw/s where the lake is. At the cache spot it is impossible to go up the cliff without climbing gear.
Be careful when walking on the cliffs, especially when it is wet or in the winter. This place will be nice for kids also, but parent supervision is needed. Cache can be reached easily through a safe route. No need to go too near to the steep cliff.
During the summer, the vegetation might be a little problem in the first steps, but when you get up to the hill and keep close to the edges, then the terrain is rather nice to walk.
Karstu Castle Hill has been considered as a iron age ancient castle, but there are many opinions about this. There shoud be a stone age cliff painting down below.
Winter attribute is an estimate. During deep snow you might need to dig a little.
