Notice - The Cache IS NOT at the
posted coordinates...it is actually in a safe hiding spot nearby.
The posted coordinates are for the middle of Lake Waubesa and the
Fish (or your Auto Insurance Company) won't appreciate you dropping
in on them...so don't try and go there.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ABSOLUTELY
NO BUSH-WHACKING NEEDED - (If You Find Yourself Bush-Whacking...You
Are Lost).
This Geocache is located in one
of the several Dane County Parks around lake Waubesa. It is a great
place to take the kids and walk around the park using some of its
many trails. The hours are from 5:00 am - 10:00 pm.
There are some nice facilities
including restrooms, water fountains, picnic tables and kids play
areas (The restrooms are seasonal). There are also numerous animals
and birds in the area...Lots of fish in the lake too. There have
also been recent Tarzan sightings here...if you see him, don't make
fun of him...he will get mad (my encounter can be heard below).
You will travel about 1 mile (1/2
mile up, 1/2 mile back)...but, I believe that small kids or a
person in a wheelchair should have no problem doing this. Most of
the traveling will be Very Easy on a paved surface. You will have
to go across some grass a couple times, but the grass is Flat and
Well Maintained (I have seen people pushing strollers across these
grassy areas). Off-Trail
Adventures Are Not Required And Are Not Recommended At
Night.
The first 50% of this Cache can
be done during the day. The other 50% must be done at night with a
FlashLight...this includes locating the Final Cache. To make it
easy for you, all of the Number Gathering and Coordinate
Calculations can be completed during the Day.
