An excellent gravel road to discover and enjoy the natural mountain beauties of Rhodes.
At the southern part of Rhodes, at the village Vati you turn south.After the football field of the village, the road becomes gravel in very good quality.
At some point there is a sign for the Archangleos Panormitis Paralimiotis telling you to take the left road.Soon you will find the church.
The cache is a plastic container with a pen, a log book and a geocaching declaration.It also contains various small things for trade.
Visit the church to see how local people have built a simple church to show their respect to the Archangelos Michael, the one that is by our side while we make "the passage"...
Addition 10/10/2007: Dominik, a geocacher who owns a house at the village Vati, is granted the permission of a local maintainer.
Also an issue with snakes and scorpions as is commented by Dominik:
"In our garden in Vati it often happened that we had snakes and scorpions. This might also be the case at the place where you have placed your cache. Would you please add a warning note to the description to not pull away stone using once hand. Instead a stick should be used."
So, I add my warning too for usinf a stick to pull away the stone over the plastic container.Geocache safely !
