Mill Micro 20 - Lingfield Traditional Geocache
Flatcoat Walker: Someone has stolen the outer pot and the log is wet, so I have decided to archive this cache and concentrate my efforts on maintaining my caching trails, which are much more popular than odd caches.

I thought it would be fun to see how many new cache sites I could find near to Mills in my local area. These will include Watermills and Windmills, some still in use, some now used for other purposes. Most mills are sited in nice surroundings, so I hope you will enjoy visiting them. I will be adding new caches to this series over the next few months.
All the micros are hidden right on public footpaths. None of them will be very close to private houses. Some of them are near public highways, but many are along private roadways, with only footpath access. Please park considerately, and do not drive along any private roads to access the caches.
This micro is hidden near Lingfield Racecourse. There must have been a mill somewhere near here once, because the map mentions Mill Lane and Mill Wood, but I can find no sign of it now. So I have placed the micro near the stream which I assume fed the mill.
There is no public road or parking nearby, so I would sugggest you walk here, along Mill Lane which is a bridleway, either from Lingfield or Dormansland.
