Welcome to Hillcrest Knoll. This park was created as a storm system run off. Alot of our family lives nearby so we remember it well. In 1997 a surge of rain busted thru the inadequate storm drain system in the area and back flooded into the houses that stood where this park now is. The flood wrecked foundations and basically left people homeless. The city and water utility decided the best thing to do was to bulldoze the old houses and build a run off drain/park. Please check out the dedication plaque at 44.59.263/ 093.01.746...it's a good place to park near and it shows the flood level in 1997. This is a neighborhood park and parking is available everywhere but we urge you to explore and not just park and grab...it's not that big a park anyway. There isn't much room in this cache for trade items unless they are small. Please be sure to be stealthy and hide this one as good as you found it. Thank you for coming to our cache.
