Second of 2 caches placed in Putnam Memorial Park.
This a 2nd cache that we placed to showcase our love for this country and our patriotism. Putnam Memorial Park is the site of Maj. Gen. Israel Putnam's winter encampment in 1779. The park is full of history and wonderful sites, as well as a museum and, occasionally, historical reenactments. While you are there, please enjoy the history. This particular cache is placed near the burial site for the unknown soldiers who died there. Pay your respects at the site and proceed left to retrieve the cache. It is in a 30mm ammo can supplied by a CT. militia unit. Please replace the cache EXACTLY as you found it, due to it's size. FTF receives a $5 scratch ticket. There are a lot of other cool things here with a patriotic theme.
