Geocache Description:

One of my favorite tv shows while I was growing up was "The Twilight Zone." The narrator, Rod Serling, would start the show, cigarette in hand, with the dry raspy voice of his and inform the audience of the predicament of the main character. Each episode always had a bizarre twist for an ending that kept me on the edge of my seat.

What I didn't realize at the time was that each episode was a morality play with the main character getting his just rewards. For example, the man who wanted to get rid of everyone in the world because they kept him from his reading, gets his wish as the nuclear bombs eliminate everyone in the world. As he comes out of his bunker (which he didn't let anyone in despite their pounding on the door.) he is gleeful and heads towards the library. As he bounds up the steps, his only pair of glasses falls off and breaks... This was like an Aesop's fable gone bad. Rod Serling had a purpose for this. He had been a celebrated screen writer (Requium for a Heavyweight) and wanted to do a tv show with a moral but the network exectutives thought that it would be too preachy, possibly too religeous. So he came up with the idea of "The Twilight Zone."

Later in his career, he was asked to be the host of "Night Gallery" which he didn't care for since it was just a bunch of creepy stories.

His death at age 50 deprived the world of a wonderful talent.

The cache is just a thin Altoids tin with only a log, so bring your own pen or pencil. The log has a paper clip around it. Replace it after you sign since it will be very hard to get the log out of the container if you do not replace it. Please replace the cache to where you found it.

And now, submitted for your approval.....
