Geocache Description:

The cache is in a bush location and all locations can be accessed by following well defined walking trails. Some of the trails are moderately steep.

This cache hunt will take you to several interesting historical sites and should take 1 - 2 hours to complete. Take a copy of this page and a pen.

Although it is not essential, you may find your visit more interesting if you are equipped with a good torch.

Here you will find a monument. Take note of the year it was erected and the year it was restored and subtract as follows to obtain the next location.

aaa = Year erected - 1124
bbb = Year restored - 1820

LOCATION 2 37 S 145 13.bbb E

You should be standing in front of a sign. Take note of the following:

c = The number of miners in the lower horizontal shaft.
d = The number of tents
e = The number of seated children
f = The height of the stope plus 1

LOCATION 3 37 44.ccd S 145 13.efd E

Another sign. Take note of the following:

ggg = The number of ounces produced minus 1117
hhh = The depth of the shaft in feet minus 99

LOCATION 4 37 44.ggg S 145 13.hhh E

Congratulations - you've found another sign.
